A detailed (snd, from my perspective, quite flawed) analysistarguing that the Jacob Kimberling who died in the Virginia frontier in 1863 was Hans Jacob Kummerlin, who had immigrated to Philadelphia by himself in 1833, not Jacob Friderich Kummerilin, who had immigrated to Philadelphia with his wife and children in 1750.
